In addition, when eating persimmons, you have to control the amount of time you eat each time. “The tannic acid in persimmons can form compounds that cannot be absorbed by the body with calcium, zinc, magnesium, iron and other minerals in foods, making these nutrients unavailable. Therefore, eating persimmons can easily lead to the lack of these minerals. Under the circumstances, it is appropriate to eat persimmon no more than 200 grams each time,” said Gong Hongbin.

Gong Hongbin also reminded that before buying persimmon, try it first. The more astringent you taste, the higher the tannin content.
