Palm, also known as palm tree, is an evergreen tree belonging to the palm family Palmaceae. It is produced in the Qinling Mountains and south of the Yangtze River Basin. In general, the northern limit of wintering in open cultivation in China is Xi'an. The author's unit is Renqiu City, Hebei Province, which is located 150 kilometers south of Beijing. Since April 2000, it has been planting palms in open fields. It has been safely overwintering for four years and is growing well. The relevant technical points are summarized below and are for reference only. Introduction of Seedlings The palms cultivated by the author were introduced from Zhoukou City, Henan Province. The seedlings were palm seedlings and had been safely wintered in Zhoukou for 2 years. When raising the seedlings, excavate the soil with 6 to 8 times the diameter of the plant's ground diameter. The soil mass is 35 centimeters high. Immediately after excavation, wrap it in a pouch and wrap it with a straw rope to prevent loosening. Leaf and petiole are gathered with straw ropes to prevent damage during transportation and transportation. Before the loading, spray the earth ball and tree body with clean water to moisturize, cover with tarpaulin during transportation, and prevent from air drying. The planting of seedlings and the choice of planting place prefer a warm and humid climate. Therefore, the planting site I selected was leeward and sunny. The climate conditions in the small environment were good. In the north, at 2 meters, there was a five-story building. Both the east and the west were planted. Lilacs and other flower shrubs. The soil in the planting area is sandy loam, with a pH of 8.5 and a salt content of 0.15%. Because palm has a certain salt and alkali resistance, it has not taken measures such as custom soil, but only the bricks and other debris have been removed. Second, digging and planting planting hole size is 10010080 cm. During the excavation, the topsoil and the subsoil were stacked separately, and 0.15 kg of sulphur powder was mixed in. The bottom of the pit was filled with rotten leaf-fertilizer and ox horse dung, which was about 15 cm thick and 35 cm of soil was placed on it. Put the plants in the pits, fill them with righting force, step on the layers, and water, and cut the ropes that bind the tree to make it stretch naturally. The leaves are then sparsely treated, leaving only 5 to 6 leaves per plant, and the trees are sprayed. Post-planting management I. Watering Planting the second day after planting is completed, pouring water into the water on the seventh day, spraying the tree leaf surface every morning and afternoon when sunlight is sufficient (a month later). After entering the summer, poured water for about 30 days, delayed watering in the event of yin and rain, poured the last osmosis at the end of September, poured frozen water at the beginning of November and bashed in the soil. In the following years, it was only in the early spring and early winter each year that it poured green water and frozen water once. The rest of the time was not specifically watered and grew on days. In addition to doing a good job of watering, it is necessary to promptly remove the accumulated water in the rain. Second, fertilization is due to the application of basal fertilizer when planting palms, so the first year in addition to the application of chicken manure before freezing in conjunction with freezing water, no additional fertilization. After the spring of each year and after entering into the freezing season, chicken manure or sesame paste residue will be applied once. Third, shading planting shaded the summer of the year, from mid-June to mid-September, and no longer shade after the second year. Fourth, cold and cold is a key factor in successful introduction. In the first year of winter, the lowest temperature in the author's region was -22°C (January 22, 2001), which was 4.2°C lower than the minimum temperature at which the palm was able to endure at -17.8°C. In order to enable the plants to safely pass through the winter, the author adopted a method of burying the roots, wrapping the ropes around the trunks, and covering the trees. In mid-November of that year, it was kept warm. After the beginning of the second year of spring, the film was perforated and cleared thoroughly. Through the above measures, the planted palms all safely passed the winter without freezing injury. In the following years, no measures were taken in the winter and it was natural for winter. V. Pest control In the introduction process, a small amount of scale insects and chafers were found to be harmful. When the number is small, they can be removed by hand. If more, then 40% omethoate EC can be sprayed and killed. No disease was found during introduction.
