All 1499 government-run grass-roots medical and health institutions in Guizhou have implemented the basic medicine system, and the basic medicine system has fully covered and implemented "zero-difference rate" sales.

The reporter learned from the Guizhou provincial government that at present, Guizhou has completed the first round of centralized bidding and purchasing of basic medicines in the country, identifying 307 kinds of basic drug bidding products, 8818 kinds of product specifications, 256 kinds of products actually purchased online, and 2252 kinds of product specifications. The average bid price of essential drugs was 41.25% lower than the national retail guide price, and the average price drop of drugs from the previous year reached 21.58%.

It is understood that Guizhou has also started a new round of standardization of centralized procurement of essential drugs, selected 110 kinds of basic medicines in Guizhou Province to supplement the drugs, especially for gynecological and pediatric use of drugs have been supplemented, so that the basic drug species in Guizhou reached 417 species.
