As of November 9th, the retail price of eggs was 4.90 yuan per 500 grams, which was a 3.92% decrease from the 5.10 yuan on October 28th; compared with October 8th. At the time of 5.30 yuan, it was 7.55% lower than the previous month. However, it is still 6.52% more expensive than $4.60 per 500 grams for the same period last year.

Like freshwater fish, the drop in the price of eggs is also attributed to “good heaven”. It is understood that since the autumn and winter season, due to the appropriate temperature, egg production rate in chicken farms has increased, and the supply of eggs from local and other provinces and cities in Jiaxing has increased significantly, which has prompted the price of eggs to fall.
