Protein content <2.0% is not called milk soy milk drink

The reporter learned from the website of the China Food Industry Association's Bean Products Professional Committee that the two industry standards of "soya milk" and "haled bean curd", commissioned by the Department of Market System Construction of the Ministry of Commerce, were drafted by the China Soybean Industry Association's Soybean Products Committee. "Soymilk" standard will be in line with the international advanced countries "soy milk" product standards, the milk will be divided into soybean milk, modulation milk and soy milk drinks three categories. The standard stipulates that products marked with soymilk have a protein concentration greater than or equal to 2.0% and less than 2.9%, solids concentrations greater than or equal to 6.0% and less than 7.0%, and should be marked “light” in the immediate vicinity of the product name; protein concentrations greater than 3.8 %, solids concentration greater than 8.0%, should be marked in the product name immediately adjacent to the "concentrated"; protein concentration greater than or equal to 2.9% and less than 3.8%, solids concentration greater than or equal to 7.0% and less than 8.0% of the ordinary type of soybean milk may not Marked. The standard also clearly stipulates that a protein content of less than 2.0% cannot be referred to as soy milk as a soy milk beverage.
