Shaft connection, as the name suggests, is to graft on the hypocotyl, that is, using a "porcelain shaft" to connect the rootstock and scion together. This method is widely used in the production of solanaceous and melon vegetables in Korea. The introduction is as follows. First, the timing of grafting: Solanaceous fruit is usually seeded at the same time with the rootstock and scion, when the seedlings 2-3 true leaves when the grafting; and melon vegetable rootstock and scion are also planted at the same time, seedlings must be "exposed" when the grafting. Second, the grafting method: Solanaceae grafting, first cut the middle position of the hypocotyl of the rootstock with a blade transverse cut, the middle line inserted a connecting needle (this needle is made of ceramic, diameter of about 0.5mm, length 1.5cm), Half of the insert is left half; the scion is cut laterally at the appropriate position of the hypocotyl, and the diameter of the cutting axis is approximately equal to the diameter of the rootstock, but not too long, generally about 1-2cm long, and then inserted in the rootstock. Connect the needle. Pay attention to the strictness of the two cuts, equal weight and natural uprightness. When the melons are grafted, the growth point and the cotyledon of the dew-rootstock are cut in one go. Pay attention to the straightness of the knife-edge, insert the connecting pin, and then cut transversely 1cm below the scion cotyledon, and then insert it on the connecting pin of the rootstock. The two sections are closely connected and roughly equal in thickness, and the grafting is completed. Obviously, the efficiency of this shaft connection method is much higher than that of plugging, snapping, and splicing, and it is simple and easy. Third, after grafting management: After grafting still need shading insulation (25-30 °C), moisturizing for 2-3 days, then gradually remove the shade, and return to normal management.
