The principle of the meeting passed the "People's Republic of China Food Safety Law (Revised Draft)". The revision of the Food Safety Law reflects the Party's and the government’s great attention to the health, safety and health of the people.

The revised draft focuses on the following improvements. The first is to implement the most rigorous whole-process management of production, sales, and catering services, strengthen the main responsibility of production and business operators, and improve the traceability system. The second is to establish the most strict supervision and punishment system. If penalties are increased for illegal activities and constitute a crime, criminal responsibility shall be strictly investigated in accordance with the law. The meeting decided that the revised draft should be submitted to the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress for further consideration.
